Grade 10 Class hosts the Valley Action Special Olympics

The Grade 10 class accepted the invitation to help out at the Valley Action Annual Track and Field meet held here on the RJC campus. Valley Action is an workshop for adults with special needs. Other group homes in the area also participated in the highly anticipated day. Our students were group leaders, event coordinators, cheerleaders and even cooks! The weather was beautiful and the excitement high!

RJC Record Setting Spectacular

RJC students participated in their annual school fundraising event this past May. Students divided into teams and competed for top honors in the 2nd RJC RECORD SETTING SPECTACULAR. In this competition they were challenged to complete a number of unique tasks in record time!! Team members solicited sponsors for their teams with the money raised being used for student projects and activities at RJC.

No, they're not playing cards, they're building with cards. This challenge was to see how many stories high each team could build a house of cards.

Team "Tightly Packed" members Leon Pomedli, Taylor Roy, Steven Tetreault, Erik
Epp, Tiera Goertz, Hillary Fast (who provided the speed skating uniforms) and Jennifer Klaassen were the big winners as they raised the most money and had the largest number of sponsors.
