Spend a Day

RJC SPENDADAY

On the weekend of March 2nd and 3rd RJC hosted about 20 students
overnight for SPENDADAY 2012.

The students began at noon with registration and met their host or hostess
for the day. The RJC hosts were responsible to make sure our guests were
guided through the rest of the days activities.

After our guests moved their luggage into their room, they were taken to
the dinning hall for a delicious meal prepared by our wonderful
kitchen staff. They were also introduced to the Deans who would be their
guardians for the evening. Thank you Deans!

The guests attended afternoon classes and then off to an evening of fun and
activities with the RJC students.

RJC put on a Fashion Show of "the good", "the bad" and the "incredibly strange" when it comes to our dress code.   The RJC jumper when worn in the fashion it is intended is actually good dress code.

Dave & Rowan commentating the Dress Code Fashions. They don't usually dress like this. :)
The Super Lloyds performed and the crowd went wild!

The evening was a wonderful success! Everyone was welcomed and was treated to a wonderful evening by the our brilliant RJC students! Good food, good fun and great fellowship was had by all!

On Saturday morning the families were invited to attend a fantastic morning brunch in the dining hall. They met the Deans and were introduced to Gail Schellenberg, our principal and Jim Epp, our vice principal and were given the opportunity to ask questions.

Now that we had our test run of SPENDADAY, next year proves to be EVEN BETTER!

Dirty February comes to an end!

'Dirty February' finally came to an end!  Shaving during the month of February is prohibited.
Both men and women alike refrained from using a razor for the entire month.

The boys' dorm celebrated by holding a guys night out the included a lot of fried food, rough housing and eating contests.

Rowan prepared a feast of tacos, poutine, pizza pops and deep fried Mars bars.

Tasty!

Moustaches were required to enter the event.

Mike and Liam in the ring

Eric bravely takes on Matt!

Jem and Tyler take their turn.

Hery, Jake and Morgan wait for the signal to begin the eating contest.  Contestants were required to chug the secret concoction.

The girls' dorm held their own girls' night out to celebrate.  It was a night of good food and good personal hygiene!

The girls compare the results after a month of not shaving.

Cleaning up after a long month.

Beauty sometimes comes at a cost!  Steph seems to be enjoying this a bit more than Lyndsey.
