RJC takes the afternoon off!

Wow, has the temperature been hot. It is making the first week of school somewhat challenging! We are trying not to complain since we have been waiting for months for +30 temperatures to happen. We just didn't imagine that we would be in dress code and sitting in a hot classroom when it finally did!

The students have been doing very well trying to cope under these conditions. We decided to take last Thursday afternoon off to enjoy the sun. The student body was transported out to the Valley Regional Park about 2 miles down the road. We had a great time playing beach volleyball, kick-ball and mini-golf. Of course the best part was playing in the water and getting each other wet!

John Baker sets the volleyball.

Baily Neufeld and Heidi Epp stop to pose during their round of golf.

Parker Olfert takes on the wishing well challenge.

Playground equipment has a certain appeal to it...at any age!

Jordan Wiens give it a whirl.
Jim Cheng and John Aubichon take a ride on the zip line.

Of course the water was the most popular draw of the afternoon.

Relief from the heat!

Like kids being drawn to a fire hydrant!

Payback for Jon Willie as Hillary Fast gives him a taste of his own medicine!
