RJC Update March 12-19

Congratulations to both the girls' and boys' basketball teams who placed first in their Conferences and advance to Regional playoffs this weekend!  (see below)


EVENTS THIS WEEK INCLUDE:

- Tuesday, March 12, 8:00 pm - Midget hockey playoff game in Hague.

- Wednesday, March 13 - Sam Hawkins event for students (supper & evening activities).

- Thursday, March 14 (time tba) - Midget hockey playoff game in Rosthern.

- Friday & Saturday, March 15 & 16 - 2A BASKETBALL REGIONAL PLAYOFFS

Boys 2A Regional playoffs at Rosthern Junior College:  



- Girls 2A Regional playoffs at Wynyard Composite School:


PLEASE NOTE:  For all SHSAA playoff tournaments the SHSAA mandates that the hosting schools collect a gate admission.  If you are planning to attend these events, please be prepared to pay admission.  This money is collected, forwarded to the SHSAA and they, in turn, pay for the officials for these events.  Thank you for your cooperation.


- Sunday, March 17, 10:30 pm  - RJC Chorale will participate in the Sutherland Evangelical Church Sunday worship service (110 - 104th Street West, Saskatoon).

- Sunday, March 17, 7:00 pm - GUYS & PIES Concert & Dessert Auction in the school gymnasium.  Everyone is invited to RJC for an evening of superb music and delicious desserts, featuring A Buncha Guys (an all-male choir from Saskatoon directed by Russ Regier), and the RJC Man Choir (directed by Richard Janzen).  Included in the evening will be a dessert auction with decorated and calorie-filled desserts up for bid.  An offering will also be taken, and funds raised from the auction and offering will go toward RJC program projects.  Coffee, tea and pie will be served during the evening.  Join us for a great evening of music and fun!  There is no admission charge, and reservations are not needed.  Start forming your cake-bid consortiums now!

- March 16-22 - SASK VALLEY MUSIC FESTIVAL.  The RJC choirs and many individual students are preparing for the local music festival competitions (instrumental, vocal and musical theatre), held in Waldheim, SK on March 16-22.  The final concert will be Sunday, March 24. 


UPCOMING EVENTS:

- PARENT / TEACHER / DEAN INTERVIEWS, March 28, 1:00-6:00 pm

- EASTER HOLIDAYS, March 29-April 7.  Classes are finished at noon on Thursday (March 28), with Parent Teacher Interviews following from 1:00-6:00 pm.  Dorms close by 6:00 pm (no supper served), and re-open Sunday, April 7 at 3:00 pm.  Classes resume Monday, April 8 at 8:30 am.
