EVENTS THIS WEEK INCLUDE:
- Tuesday, Sept 24, 4:00 pm - Boys' soccer game at RJC versus Se Se Wa Hum.
- Wednesday, Sept 25, 4:00 pm - Girls' Soccer game at St. Mary's, Prince Albert.
- Wednesday, Sept 25 - Boys' Soccer game at Maymont is CANCELLED. If you know of anyone who might have been planning to travel to this game, please let them know that the game is cancelled.
- Thursday, Sept 26 - Football home game versus Spiritwood. All home games are played at the Rosthern High School football field.
- Thursday, Sept 26, 4:00 pm - Boys' Soccer game at RJC versus Hepburn.
- Friday, Sept 27 - Lifetouch Photography will take school pictures at RJC. Students will receive a proof package in early October.
- Friday & Saturday, Sept 27-28 - Golf Provincials at Goodsoil, SK. Lyndsey Hildebrandt and Ashley Kowalczyk, who placed first and second respectively in the individual competition, and first overall in team competition at Golf Districts, are representing RJC as Central Valley Athletic Conference champions. We wish them all the best at Provincials!
- Friday-Sunday, September 27-29 - FALL CHOIR WORKSHOP. This weekend is our Open Choir Workshop. It runs at the same time as the Saskatoon Youth Orchestra annual fall workshop held on the RJC campus. These workshops end with a public performance together in the RJC gym on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 pm. Admission is by donation at the door, and everyone is welcome. The choir workshop is open to all RJC students. It is also Part 1 of auditions for Chorale. If students are interested in auditioning for Chorale, they should to be at the workshop.
- Monday, Sept 30, 4:00 - Girls' Soccer game at RJC vs Valley Christian Academy.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
- RJC ALUMNI VOLLEYBALL/SOCCER TOURNAMENT WEEKEND - Friday & Saturday, October 4 & 5 - Come join in the fun as a participant or a spectator! Volleyball and Soccer (Saturday only - meet in Rehearsal Hall at 10:00 and bring a white and dark t-shirt). A delicious lunch sponsored by Alumni will be served between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm in the Rehearsal Hall. Email Denelda at deneldafast@hotmail.com to register for volleyball by September 30th or for information. ALUMNI AND FRIENDS WELCOME!
- RJC OPEN HOUSE , Friday, October 4, 6:30 - 9:00 pm - If you have younger family members or friends who would be interested in finding out more about RJC and its programs, and in being on campus during our Alumni Tournament Weekend, come out Friday evening to our open house. In addition to the alumni volleyball games going on in the gymnasium, open house activities will include checking out the dorms, having a tour of the school, and watching some videos while sampling delicious goodies from the kitchen. - THANKSGIVING DESIGNATED WEEKEND - Friday to Monday, October 11-14 - Our first designated weekend of the year is Thanksgiving. Classes will be dismissed on Thursday, October 10 at 3:00 pm. The dorms will close Thursday at 5:00 pm (no supper served), and re-open on Monday at 3:00 pm. All students need to make arrangements to travel home or stay with family or friends for this weekend. If you are able to help us out by inviting one of our international students to spend the weekend with your family, please let us know by calling the Deans' Office (306 232-5665) or the RJC Business Office (306 232-4222).
- RJC KIELKE & SAUSAGE SUPPER FUNDRAISER - Monday, October 21st at Bethany Manor (110 La Ronge Road, Saskatoon). There will be two seatings for supper - the first seating will be at 4:30 pm for Bethany residents and family/guests, and the second seating will be at 6:00 pm for everyone! Admission is by donation, and the RJC Chorale will be performing. Everyone is welcome. If possible please RSVP to val@rjc.sk.ca or call 306-232-4222.
