The RJC 2015-16 School Year Begins !

The members of the 2015/2016 Student Representative Council and Dorm Council gathered at the school on Friday morning to begin their leadership weekend before registration. In the afternoon students and staff met in the chapel for our annual commissioning service. Messages were brought from staff, the church, and parents, encouraging this years's SRC and DC to consider what it means to be a leader.

Craig Neufeld brought words from RMC, encouraging the crew to be really listen to the student body.

Terry Stefaniuk spoke on behalf of our parents. He shared examples of leaders, exploring how they can come from many walks of life, take many shapes, and do exceptional things with little to begin with.

Ryan Wood shared a message from the staff. He spoke about earning respect today so that you can fall back on your reputation when the year gets tough, but to also remember that God's grace is given regardless of what happens throughout the seasons. After the benediction, students began to ready the school and dorms for the busy registration weekend.

The leadership group spent the rest of the weekend planning activities and preparing the dorms  for the arrival of all the students on Sunday.
