- ANNUAL RJC STUDENT FUNDRAISING EVENT, May 31 - For the past three years RJC students have participated in a Record Setting Spectacular as a fundraiser towards student activities (class retreats, athletics, fine arts and the school yearbook). An afternoon is set aside for this fun event, where teams attempt to "better" records set in previous years. Challenges include a variety of individual and group activities which may require speed, agility, patience, quick thinking, teamwork and LUCK. Who knows…..we may even set an actual world record!!! This event will take place on Thursday, May 31.
Students are bringing home sponsor packages with them this long weekend, and will be asking friends and family for team sponsorship for this event. Money raised by the Record Setting Spectacular is tax deductible (donations of $10 or more). Prizes will be awarded to students in four categories:
- Teams that have the greatest number of sponsors
- Teams that raise the most money
- Teams that have the most creative team name and costumes
- The team that sets the most records.
This year there are also special incentives where students can earn the chance to try and soak some of their teachers in a dunk tank!! This is our only student fundraiser for the year, and is an important opportunity for our students to give back as they join with the other "cloud of witnesses" who surround and support RJC in so many ways!
- PROSPECTIVE STUDENT FAMILY PICNIC at RJC, Sunday, June 3. If you have someone in your family who is considering attending RJC and would like to know more, you and your family are invited to our Prospective Student Family Picnic. The staff and students will be available to talk with and answer questions. There will be good food and fun for the entire family. Contact the RJC Office (306 232-4222) or email val@rjc.sk.ca this week if you would like to attend this event. If you know of someone else who would be interested in learning more about RJC, please contact Val White.
