EVENTS THIS WEEK INCLUDE:
- Wednesday, May 23 - Junior/Senior student celebration event.
- Friday, May 25 - District Track & Field meet at Griffiths Stadium, Saskatoon.
- Saturday, May 26 - RJC Spring Classic Golf Tournament at the Valley Regional Park, Rosthern.
- Sunday-Tuesday, May 27-29 - Phys Ed 20 outtrip.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
- ANNUAL RJC STUDENT FUNDRAISING EVENT, May 31 - For the past three years RJC students have participated in a Record Setting Spectacular as a fundraiser towards student activities (class retreats, athletics, fine arts and the school yearbook). An afternoon is set aside for this fun event, where teams attempt to "better" records set in previous years. Challenges include a variety of individual and group activities which may require speed, agility, patience, quick thinking, teamwork and LUCK. Who knows…..we may even set an actual world record! Money raised by the Record Setting Spectacular is tax deductible (donations of $10 or more). Prizes will be awarded to students in four categories:
- Teams that have the greatest number of sponsors
- Teams that raise the most money
- Teams that have the most creative team name and costumes
- The team that sets the most records.
This year there are also special incentives where students can earn the chance to try and soak some of their teachers in a dunk tank!! This is our only student fundraiser for the year, and is an important opportunity for our students to give back as they join with the other "cloud of witnesses" who surround and support RJC in so many ways!
- PROSPECTIVE STUDENT FAMILY PICNIC at RJC, Sunday, June 3. If you have someone in your family who is considering attending RJC and would like to know more, you and your family are invited to our Prospective Student Family Picnic. The staff and students will be available to talk with and answer questions. There will be good food and fun for the entire family.
