On
Saturday, Nov 17, RJC held its annual Corporation general meeting in the school
chapel. Board chair Geraldine Balzer-Peters thanked RJC constituency, board and
staff for their contributions to RJC students’ Christian education. Principal
Jim Epp summarized school activities in the past year, noting especially events
and programming pointing students to Christian service. The AGM was followed by
the annual fundraising and appreciation banquet in the school gymnasium.
Guest

Development Association) spoke about “Sustainable Tools That Give
Hope to the World” with examples from Afghanistan, Haiti and Tajikistan. A
group of recent grads entertained with music. Silent and live auctions were
also held, and an offering taken to fundraise for the programming of RJC. Presentations were made by Geraldine
Balzer-Peters to staff members who had reached 5, 10, 15 and 20 years of

One of the auction items was a quilt made from RJC dress code. The quilt was designed by Denise Epp. She, along with Bev Janzen, Shan Kerber and Barb Wolfe hand crafted the quilt for auction. Other auction items included Peppernuts made by Elva Epp and an outdoor shed being built as a class project by our grade 10 class. |

Special Thanks to Nicole Tiessen for being the lead organizer of the event. Her talents and passion for RJC is greatly appreciated. |
