RJC Update Nov 27-Dec 5

CONGRATULATIONS to the Boys' Volleyball team who won the Bronze Medal at Provincials playoffs this past weekend!

  

EVENTS THIS WEEK INCLUDE:

- Wednesday, Nov 28, 4:30 pm - Boys' basketball game at Dalmeny.
- Wednesday, Nov 28, 8:00 pm - Midget hockey home game, Rosthern versus Beardy's, at the Rosthern arena. 

- Thursday, Nov 29, 6:30 pm - Girls' basketball game at RJC versus Asquith.

- Friday, Nov 30 - Traveling Open House evening event at Grace Mennonite Church, Regina.

- Saturday & Sunday, Dec 1 & 2 - Midget Hockey Tournament in Warman.

- Sunday, December 2, 10:00 am - Chorale will participate in the Sunday Worship Service at Zoar Mennonite Church, Langham.
- Sunday, Dec 2, 7:00 pm - Chorale will participate in the Rosthern Community Carol Festival at Rosthern Mennonite Church.  Everyone is welcome.

- Monday, Dec 3 - GRADUATION PORTRAITS for Grade 12 students will be taken by Lifetouch Photographers at RJC.  

- Monday, Dec 3 - Basketball games at RJC versus Saskatoon Christian School - Girls 4:30 pm, Boys 6:00 pm.

- Tuesday, Dec 4, 7:30 pm - Midget hockey game at Wakaw.

- Wednesday, Dec 5 - Basketball games at Valley Christian Academy, Osler - Girls 4:00 pm, Boys 5:30 pm.


If you are planning to attend RJC basketball "away" games, please note that some schools will be charging admission to games this year to help cover referee costs. 

Also, please check with your student if you are planning to attend any of the events listed above, as weather or road conditions may necessitate last minute changes to the schedule.  



UPCOMING EVENTS:


- RJC CHRISTMAS CONCERTS:  
- December 15, 7:30 pm -  RJC Chorale, RJC Women's Choir and guest choir Sonrisa will present a CHRISTMAS CONCERT at Knox United Church, 838 Spadina Crescent East, Saskatoon.  Admission is free.  A collection will be taken in support of RJC.  Everyone is welcome.


- December 21, 7:00 pm - RJC CHRISTMAS CONCERT in the school gymnasium (*Concert Choir, Chorale, Women's Choir).   Join us as we celebrate the Christmas season with music and fellowship.  A time of refreshments will follow the concert.  Everyone is welcome.

*Concert Choir performances are part of the curriculum requirements for Choral 10/20/30, and all choir students are expected to attend.


- CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS – Saturday, December 22 to Wednesday, January 2, 2013.  Dorms close Friday evening following the Christmas Concert, and re-open Wednesday, January 2, at 3:00 pm.  Classes resume Thursday, January 3, 8:30 am.

- RJC "LINK" YEARBOOK:  Want to help us make memories?  We are looking for individuals or businesses interested in sponsoring our yearbook, by purchasing sponsorship space.  If you choose to sponsor our yearbook, please send a "camera ready" advertisement, a business card, or the written information you would like to have placed in your space, and we will take care of the rest for you.  If you do not own a business but would like to support us, please consider being page sponsors in our yearbook.  As completed pages are submitted throughout the school year to the publisher, it would be greatly appreciated if you could respond as soon as possible, or no later than February 1, 2013.  Thank you for supporting this year's edition of the RJC LINK.
