RJC Update Dec 10-20

EVENTS THIS WEEK INCLUDE:

- Tuesday, Dec 10, 6:00 & 7:30 pm - Girls' and Boys' Basketball games at RJC vs Clavet  (girls at 6:00 pm, boys at 7:30 pm).

- Wednesday, Dec 11, 6:00 & 7:30 pm - Girls' and Boys' Basketball games at Warman  (girls at 6:00 pm, boys at 7:30 pm).
- Wednesday, Dec 11, 8:15 pm - Boys' Midget Hockey game at Rosthern vs Shellbrook.

- Thursday, Dec 12, 9:15 pm - Boys' Midget Hockey game at Beardy's Memorial Arena.

- Friday, Dec 13, 12:00 noon - RJC Chorale & Women's Chorus are singing at the Station Arts Centre in Rosthern for the Noon Christmas Concert Series.  Everyone welcome (free admission).

- Friday & Saturday, Dec 13-14 - Girls' Basketball Tournament at Birch Hills.

- Saturday, Dec 14, 8:00 pm - Boys' Midget Hockey game at Hague (moved from December 21st).

- Sunday, December 15, 7:30 pm - RJC CHOIR CONCERT at Knox United Church (838 Spadina Crescent East, Saskatoon).  Featuring the RJC Chorale and Women's Choir, with guest performers SONRISA.  Free admission - a collection will be taken during the concert.  Everyone is welcome!

- Tuesday, Dec 17, 7:30 pm - Boys' Basketball at RJC vs Ecole Canadienne-Francaise.

- Wednesday, Dec 18, 4:00 pm - Boys' Basketball at RJC vs Stobart School.

- Thursday, Dec 19, 5:30 pm - RJC Student & Staff Christmas Banquet & Celebrations.

- Friday, December 20, 7:00 pm - RJC CHRISTMAS CONCERT

, featuring the RJC Concert Choir, Chorale and Women's Choir.  Free admission.  Everyone is welcome to join us for the concert, with refreshments and visiting to follow.  

  



UPCOMING EVENTS:


- CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS - Saturday, December 21 to Sunday, January 5, 2014.   Dorms close Friday evening following the Christmas Concert, and re-open Sunday, January 5 at 3:00 pm.  Classes resume Monday, January 6, 8:30 am.  


RJC ALUMNI TOURNAMENT OF MEMORIES - January 3 & 4, 2014  - Basketball and Hockey are waiting for you!  Alumni, family and friends should register by December 21 by email (deneldafast@hotmail.com) for basketball or (mel@rjc.sk.ca) for hockey.  Reconnect with old classmates and friends and exercise your mind, body and spirit at the same time!  If you have questions contact Denelda Fast at 306-221-2846 or RJC office at 306-232-4222.


- SPEND-A-DAY - January 17 &18.  On Friday & Saturday we are opening our doors for youth from grades 8-10 for Spend-A-Day.  We will start on Friday with registration and lunch, and end the event on Saturday morning with a delicious brunch from the cooks (which the whole family is welcome to attend).  This year will be a bit different as it is running along side our Winter Theatre.  All guests of Spend-a-Day will attend the Friday evening performance free of charge.  If you or someone you know has a child who is interested in learning more about RJC and would like to Spend-A-Day on campus (attending classes, staying overnight in the dorms, etc), please visit the website for a registration form or more information.  Forms need to be in by January 10. RJC WINTER THEATRE, Friday & Saturday, January 17 & 18, 7:30 pm in the Pit Theatre.   The Theatre Arts Class will present four short plays and a Musical Theatre excerpt from "Matilda - The Musical."  This is the final project for the class, and looks to be a very entertaining evening. Tickets are $10.  Call or email RJC (306 232-4222 or office@rjc.sk.ca) to reserve your tickets.
