Chapel Report
Friday Oct. 4,
2013
On Wed. Oct. 2,
principal Jim Epp reminded the student body about the importance of living and
caring within community. Using
scripture he build a case for the need to be patient and kind with one another,
and encouraged the student body to put this in practice as we now have been
living in community for over one month and inevitable challenges will
occur.
On Thurs. Oct. 3 the Faith
and Life committee unveiled their ‘love-focus’ for October: Kindness. They distributed cards that had each
student’s name and had other students write kind comments for each other. These encouragement cards were
delivered to each student in the school.
RJC students participated in a Terry Fox Run on Fri. Oct. 4,
2013.
Students were encouraged to
continue to vision of Terry Fox and each donate a dollar; many donated
more!
Students could either walk
or run the course.
There was also
a friendly competition. Shane won for the boys and a team effort of Leah, Lauren, and
Haley finished first (and hand–in-hand) for the girls.
