We will start on Friday with registration and lunch, and end the event on Saturday morning with a delicious brunch (which the whole family is welcome to attend). All our Spend-A-Day guests will be invited to attend FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE Coffee House, an evening of performances by RJC students to a live audience from a variety of schools, churches and youth groups.
If you or someone you know has a child who is interested in learning more about RJC and would like to Spend-A-Day on campus (attending classes, staying overnight in the dorms, etc), please visit the website for a registration form or more information. Forms need to be in by March 20. You can email
val@rjc.sk.ca for more information. You are welcome to attend the FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE event on March 28th even if you are not interested in attending the whole Spend-A-Day weekend.
- FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE Coffee House, March 28, 7:30 pm - On March 28th RJC students are hosting Friday Night Live, transforming the gym into the WILD WILD WEST theme. This is an informal event for youth and youth groups that features performances by RJC students and groups. Students are beginning to prepare their "acts" for the evening and excitement for the event is building. It is also a very important event for showing how RJC successfully brings together a very diverse group of students and grows into a vibrant community. All youth from grades 6-12, youth groups, pastors and interested parents are welcome to attend this FREE event!
- A.L.S.O. (Alternative Learning and Service Opportunities) , April 2-13 - RJC staff and students are busy preparing for our annual ALSO week. Students will be traveling to Guatemala (April 2-13), Alabama (April 3-13), High River AB & Rosthern area (April 7-11), to engage in service learning projects. This year's ALSO theme is "To Participate Is To Be Fully Human". Through service learning students will be challenged to view their world from different perspectives.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION:
COFFEE HOSTS REQUIRED. Positive feedback from our students and their families is so very important to us and so valuable to other parents and families considering RJC. We want to provide an opportunity for you to share your experience and that of your RJC student. One idea would be for you to host a casual "coffee evening" in your home with your friends or family - people you are in contact with that might have children who would do well at RJC. We would come with promotional material and join with you to share the story of RJC, and provide information and answer questions for your friends and family. Please contact Valerie White if you are interested in being a coffee host at val@rjc.sk.ca or call 306-232-4222 with some dates that might work for you.
