Chapel Report
Friday March 28,
2014
Chapels this week
included sharing times from Grade 12 students Ashley K. and Kathleen R. Ashley’s heart felt stories and
memories of her aunt inspired the student body to love those around them, and
to not take family and friends for granted. Kathleen’s memories of life on the farm, and times with
family, were also a reminder of the importance of family, and how difficult of
a decision it can be for students to leave home to attend school, even when
they know it is a good decision.
On Thursday April 27
the ALSO Week t-shirts were distributed after a short message about the Parable
of the Good Samaritan, which focused students on the purpose of the trips. Students are preparing for their Alternative
Service and Learning Opportunities trips that leave next week. Students will traveling in different
groups to Saskatoon, High River, Alabama, and Guatemala, but will all be
wearing the same purple t-shirts!
On Friday April 28,
students took a break from their busy schedules and participated in a Lenten
Reflection chapel. Students sang
‘Kyrie’ interspersed with times of Lenten prayers and reflection.
